Did we really not pursue that guy?

Not doubting you, just can't believe we didn't.

Willis and Hightower were as bad as it gets. Fulmer wanted Hightower at H-back.

A little guy with a lot of production in high school. They fall through the cracks till you have a shitty year and just need to fill spots.

Most programs have a set standard that they want in a recruit and if they don't fit into that box on height and weight, it's rough to get on the radar.

Hightower was all Bama from the get go. Pretty sure his family were Bama fans

Pennington wouldn't have started over Manning or Tee, though.

EJ Junior was as good of a Nasvillian as I recall us passing on. Watched him as a little kid in the Clinic Bowl. He was Maplewood’s everything.

Would have been another Tinsley anyway. We didn't use the kind of player except for a random gadget play

I believe it was Tinsley who ran the end around to surprise Miami down in that shithole stadium. Great call by Sanders. Don't know if this was rumor or fact, but supposedly somebody asked Sanders why he didn't run that Tinsley play more often, as it was the first time we had run it all year. Sanders responded, the more times you run a play, the better chance the defense has to stop it..
