Hate to beat a dead horse, but just saw where Pujols' contract is ridiculously backloaded. He'll be getting $12M next year, and he'll make well over $30M in his 40s.

Duncan taking an indefinite leave to be with wife. Basically he's retiring.

 

It would have been weird to see Duncan in the dugout without La Russa, anyway.

 

Oswalt as an 8th inning guy perhaps?

 

Spring training has begun. A new season is upon us!

 

Saw pujols in angels gear for the first time today. It was as weird as I expected it to be.

 

Thoughts on the Molina extension? Seems pretty steep for a catcher that is on the wrong side of 30.

 

He's as important to the pitching staff as anyone else. With the young arms coming up, I really have no problem with it.

 

Lohse throws half as well as he did tonight and he'll be just fine this season. That was about as good of an opening night performance as you can ask for.

 

Lohse seems to always start the season out pretty well.

 

Greinke looks tough today.

 

At work, not able to watch, but from webcast, it sure reads like it.

It's a pitchers duel like I thought it would be.

 

St louis media is covering pujols more now that they did when he played there. Its ridiculous.

I realize the bats are going to normalize at some point, but I think we're going to score runs all year.

 

No one told Freese that it's no longer October. I'm fine with this.

 

If you think about it, Freese has hit the whole time he's been on the roster,even back to his rookie year. His power seems to have improved. Here's hoping he stays off the dad burned DL, which has been his nemesis.
