Don't want a split and I want CP to skull[uck fay] Mullen and the gators. But if I have to choose, give me the win over the gators and make it a beatdown.
I had a daydream the other day that we shoved them around, had 2 backs go for 150 and went over the top 3 times with posts wide open in the middle of the field. We know what wvu is going to do. I'm not sure how you scout our team right now. Helton coached at w ky right? Which had a different offense than USC where he was, and Pruitt came from a smashmouth offense at Bama. The additions of Kennedy and Trey Smith back and possibly Hall, are obviously big factors, but imo could be the difference in a W or 2. In a game of inches, getting behind them, vs ryan Johnson and locklear, is a plus, though Johnson and locklear can play well and will.
I'm not sure how you scout this offense. Osevet is going to have a hand in it and he's an RPO guy. Helton is a pro style 3 wide guy. Pruitt is going to be telling them what he hates to defend. It's either a glorious combo or coaches hating each other
It will be about limiting possessions and forcing them to execute at a high % in the first game of the year. Do that and don't give up too many big plays, and it becomes a scrum.
This sort of gets at a philosophical problem I have with polls like this and questions such as "What would you do for a Vols NC?" I'd do exactly nothing to magically win even one game for my team as it would ruin every ounce of vicarious joy I associate with sports. Perhaps I'm too literal minded.
I would burn the town of Tuscaloosa to the ground. I would pull a modern day Sherman through sec country if need be
For the first time in a long time I am not really thinking about potential win totals and stuff. I am really interested in seeing the team's attitude. How long has it been since we have seen a Tennessee team with a consistent nasty attitude? My hope is that that is what we see. If we do, the wins will follow for years.
