I had forgotten about this. Don’t really see the benifit of playing them other than it should be an easy win https://www.knoxnews.com/story/spor...see-uconn-schedule-contract-series/999448002/
My ideal OOC scheduling with 8 game conference schedule would be 1 Power 5 team 1 AAC team 1 other group of 5 team 1 small college team from Tennessee
We just need to go to a 9 game SEC schedule. 1 Power 5 team 1 Tennessee college/university (Austin Peay, MTSU, etc. [uck fay] Memphis) 1 smaller Div 1 team
Mike Hamilton is a mother [uck fay]ing idiot. He was going to have us travel and play at UConn????? A home and home with that level of program is asinine. Screw that moron.
Something something womens basketball, something something Mike Hamilton probably took a look at the Big East in those seasons where they had a bunch of teams with inflated records and rankings and thought they had something something
... it all started with a missing sentence in the Kiffin Contract. 1A) This buyout clause is intentionally so big so nobody can afford it.
I wouldn't think so. We played P5 teams when we only played 3 out of conference games when it was an 11 game schedule. And the need for quality wins is big in the playoff races. But I could be naive.
This thread trashes Hamilton. Biggest villain in last ten years in my book. The guy that set it all in motion...
A 9 game SEC schedule is going to be necessary at some point, because of the issues that arise from the permanent opponent.
In one year, 1994, we played two ranked Pac 10 teams: UCLA and Wash.St. No doubt those days are over though.
