I took one of my sons to some rowdy games. He was @ 7 or 8 and I just explained he would see and hear people act differently than us and to ignore it.
He'll survive the game. That I'm not worried about. It's the new vocabulary words I don't want him to learn (or at least learn that I know about).
I think there were probably a few I'd not heard yet by 3rd grade. HE's probably heard the tier 1's (he's heard a few from me), and a few tier 2's. It's the tier 3's at this point.
I’m taking my son, 5, to his first game this weekend. Combination of 12p kickoff, lots of UT TDs, lots of Rockytop, opponent that won’t bring asshole fans, and a guaranteed win make for a good first outing.
The weather delay killed it, but they had a lot of fun until then. The punt block was on the far endzone from us, people went crazy, as it was settling down, my oldest yelled "Daddy, we now have 9!!!"
