I mean, look at who his QB coaches have been. While Helton hasn't been a great OC to date, he has done relatively well to make JG show occasional signs of competence.
I couldn't do it. I would immediately throw the ball up and curl up on the ground, every single snap.
I always throw out our opponents’ W/L records and prior week performances. That never ever works. I don’t care who beat them. I have learned in 33 years of Vol football that more often than not, teams play one of their best games of the year against us. And we are capable of fluke plays aplenty. I cannot imagine us tackling well at the corners with our LBs. I think Auburn will grind us. That said, fate may be on the side of the Vols. Malzahn’s pants get lit with a loss to a down Tennessee team. Then you have a clear path to a coaching search at Auburn...Kiffin. This isn’t about Pruitt, there’s enough there to justify optimism and the right kind of Tennessee football. But, I will be hacked if Kiffin goes to Auburn. UT 26 AU 20 33 years ago, the Acacias were singing this outside Hess Hall (for hours).... Auburnnnnnn, Auburnnnnn...how’d you like to bite my ass.???
Malzahn could be wearing parachute pants soaked in naplam with Bunsen burners glued on to them, surrounded by a platoon of soldiers pointing flamethrowers at his ass and he’s still not going anywhere. His buyout is ridiculous.
Exactly. Straight line speed, he probably is quick enough. But it's something you have to have a knack for. Dobbs certainly had it.
And conventional wisdom would say they could never afford it but you get those boosters riled up with losses to UT and Ole Miss and they’ll find the money.
Short of some justifiable cause, the Gus Bus is parked right out in front of Jordan Hare for the foreseeable future.
