Not sure. In Georgia, it seems to be a fundamental disagreement that every citizen's vote should count.
But even that is in the spirit of winning elections more than anything. The time for the split when we identify with state and regional identities first and downplay our American identity.

Bro, their meter is running whether they are voting, arguing, or sleeping in their beds. Their meter is running after they leave office. Regardless of who is President, the more time we get out of them in session and debating/negotiating/collaborating/holding hearings/writing/voting etc, the better. I understand some preferring gridlock, but no one should be against them being there and doing the congressing.
