Chernow has a gift for telling history as a story.

    Yeah it’s well organized.

Read Isaacson’s on Franklin and working on McCullough’s John Adams right now and both are good, but just like the way Hamilton was put together. Washington is next.

Unscripted by Ernie Johnson Jr. is a great read.

    Helluva man.

    That does sound good.

I also really want to read the Wooden bio by Seth Davis, but I loathe Seth Davis and don't want him to make a penny off me.

Good read, even if it doesn't really talk about why they suck now too much.

Re-reading Heinlein's Starship Troopers. It is interesting the amount of debate over a book that is relatively small, and also the amount of influence this book had on science fiction going forward is downright incredible.

Was that the movie about the bugs?

The movie has as much in common with the book as I do with Ocho Cinco.

In all seriousness, the guy that directed the Starship Troopers movie never read the book. He just knew the character names and that they fought 'bugs' and it was, according to many critics, a book promoting fascism. So, he made a movie to satire what he read the book was about without ever having read the damn thing.

I have to admit, I watch it when I'm flipping through the channels and see it

Just imagine all those soldiers wearing giant mech suits. That is one difference between the movie and the book.

Gonna recommend "Snowmen All Year". It's a literary classic.

11-22-63 is a series on Hulu. Started watching it today. Not bad, but not the book either
