Dude we aren’t here to get busted by the feds. They got them slots at Victoryland rigged to pay out when players show up.
Honestly on this one we already have a tank. Need a quick rb to add, but right now we are good at rb for a couple years,
Ah, ok. I haven’t followed closely so didn’t know who we had. Eric Gray would fit the mold for quick back though, wouldn’t he? I miss the days of having 3 or 4 guys in the backfield who’re all Sunday types.
Fellas I didn't follow recruiting for a few weeks and our ranking on rivals tanks...went up to 13 from 10 bodies but dropped to 32nd place from low 20s. What the heck happened? ...We are behind Ole Myth, Hail State, South kakylacky, and Kensucky! Fla has been a dumpster fire in the off season and they are 13th! Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
yes we have to look good, not get shoved around, shove some people around, and win. Then peer recruiting has some merit and picks up. Right now, tn isn't a safe bet to get them to the nfl, much less a title of some sort or even a bowl. Can't blame the kids or parents really. As far as this class, we only have 13 committed. The top 15-20 more than likely have 20+ and classes near full. Trying to recall, I read somewhere a couple weeks ago where our "average star rating" was pretty good, but a 2* longsnapper doesn't help. That said, Pruitt knew more about college football and players needed, than me, awhile ago, and a hell of a lot more than Barton Simmons, etc. qb--we have a good one coming in. May bring a 2nd in, but he is the future 3 year starter if it goes as planned. I still like Maurer and think his athleticism will eventually win us a couple games. rb--Hodge can play. We get Ty, Jordan, Banks and Gray back next year. I'm not sure who we are recruiting here, but solid 5 deep into next spring. That may be a deterrant to some. wr--we lose a lot. We have a smaller quick twitch slot coming in and a 6-2 4.3 x. Some say this 5* Jarret may be another one. With Chaney and the OL we have coming in, and Tee, and Bailey coming, maybe wrs are in wait and see mode to see if we can get anybody the ball. Otherwise you would think wrs would be lined up te--pretty full room right now and just had 2 or 3 come in last class. OL--good center coming in, and we have been looking for a center for years it seems. Not a guard or tackle playing center, a center. Then we have 2 big guards coming in.. I don't even care about * ratings on OL anyway. 6'4 300 going into senior year and big offers is good enough. Need another 1 or 2. DT--only 1 right now, so this is a concern. However, we do supposedly have a bunch of big bodies there right now and all of them will be back at least another year or 2, hopefully, barring injury or transfer LB/DE--concern here as I don't know that we have anybody. LB has been a weakness. Sounds like Henry and Crouch are SEC caliber, but we need players. Unsure what the problem is here. Maybe our lead recruiter here isn't great. db/athletes--I like what we have coming in and a couple have the ability to be a badass db or wr, as Jennings could have been, plus a guy like Lawrence who has people talking about nfl ready db pretty soon. Add in a highly rated juco db. And screw ratings guys on a country boy from Haywood county who is 6'3 200 and earns a scholarship in front of Pruitt and company showing ridiculous athleticism. Those cubicle guys have never even seen the kid play and throw out a rating, as they did to a fake recruiting profile last year. Not sure if yall heard about that, but Rivals rated a fake recruit based off his fake offers, iirc. so, i'd go after, in addition to commits: 1 qb, 1 rb, 2 wr, 1 te, 1 ol, 2 dts, 4 lb/de
That long snapper wins every award at every specialist camp he goes to, too. It's funny, seeing recruiting guys break down long snappers
He will make more positive plays in his first few games than 5*s such as Richmond, Blair, Mckenzie, kongbo and others made in their careers.
Kid is a beast. Looking forward to seeing him this year. Just wish the line was going to be better. Pretty small again this year.
