I think we really aimed high and then our first two games just completely destroyed any chances with that type of recruit. In state guys like Hardy continued to give us the time of day, but he was probably leaning away from Knoxville for awhile now. Now we are kind of scrambling to get in on lesser guys.

Since is the third in state lineman this year that we’ve really wanted that went to another SEC school. We also lost our big JUCO guy to Mississippi State.

The Baron to KY meltdown will be even bigger than this.

I’m inclined to defer to you on recruiting CUT, but I’m just looking at the reality that the players we’re recruiting are already a rung below what we need to compete with Bama / UGA / UF, and we’re mightily struggling to get in and hold onto those.

Whatever the problem is, Pruitt needs to get it fixed, ASAP. Because trying to win with classes primarily and consistently comprised of diamonds-in-the-rough recruits who have been passed over by our rivals is perhaps the quickest way for a coach to again become a coordinator.

Here’s a simpler way to say it:

Pruitt will not enjoy the luxury of time that it will take to consistently turn 3* players into a 5* team, but his replacement might.

If he wants to go there so his mom can snub his nose at his dad, so be it. He'll just take an ass kicking every year by Tennessee and watch Stoops leave for FSU.

It's going to take a couple of classes like last year's and this year's to put together a team that can go win 9+ games. We won't recruit like we all want to until we win 10 plus games.

Well coached top 20 classes can compete with and beat sloppy top 10 classes.

If we can string together some consistently fast, physical, disciplined top 25 teams on the field, the top 10s and top 5s will follow.

Our ascension will have to look more like Clemson’s than Alabama’s.

I’ll manage to find a way to get used to 9-3s and top 25 weekly rankings again.

We've set up an OV for Morven Joseph, a DE who decommitted from FSU after the Taggart firing.

He's a 3 star but has offers from almost everyone who matters in CFB.

They're not wasting any time moving on from Hardy.

He had said he was officially visiting before Taggart got fired. He had shown quite a bit of interest before committing to FSU

There shouldn't be a team in the country better at dealing with rejection than Tennessee.

The thing is, Hardy and Baron and the like were gonna keep us in that 15-20 range.
