Yes adding more government will surely lead to a booming middle class. I think the economy would be better if spending were cut and left in the hands of the people instead of the inefficiencies of central planning.
It isn't about adding more government, it is about not letting corporations and billionaires use their "speech" to out-shout the speech of most citizens. It isn't about central planning vs not central planning. It's about you and I being peasants whose labor is merely a product rather than having a true democracy.

I like Deval and listened to him on Axelrod’s podcast earlier this year or late last he where he said he wasn’t running and while I was a bit disappointed, it seemed sincere. I get that everyone is frustrated with the higher profile candidates on the Dem ticket but it’s surely too late to be doing this.
