We are not quite to that point yet. The CFP was more a result of reading about it and thinking about different ways to expand the business.

The girl child took beginning strings as a senior this year because, why not? I think she needed an art credit anyway. They had a concert tonight, and I was shocked at how good it was. Sure, I'm listening with bias, but they were good. The advanced class and the advanced band class also performed. It was pretty decent stuff all around, and my only complaints were guitar/amp tuning on a Manheim Steamrollerish Carol of the Bells rendition and the choice of a Danny Elfman number.

 

Children pick up music very fast. I am one year into learning music and I still suck.

 

Yeah, she's better than I was at her age. She's 17 was showing me how to play Rocky Top on a mandolin eight weeks into the class. At 17, I was terrible. I'm still terrible, but now I can afford better instruments.

 

Few things drive me battier than people from the northeast, who being in East TN for a decade, still complain about how things aren't as great as the northeast.

we don't get that here. everyone i know from the northeast talks about how happy they are to not deal with the winters anymore.
