IU: 31 TN: 17 IU dares TN to throw the ball and despite this, they get stubborn and stick to the unproductive run. JG starts cold, panics, and either reverts back to holding the ball too long or throwing it too late, leading to sacks and/or strip fumbles and/or INT’s. Meanwhile TN can’t slow down IU’s offense - particularly as they run scripted plays to begin the game - and build a nice lead going in at half, and which they won’t relinquish. TN will get a bump from Jauan coming in, and they’ll make a few pushes to close the gap - but on-again-off-again teams of average talent will eventually go to hit the “on” switch and the engine just won’t fire up. We’re about 3-4 games overdue for this to happen, and it catches us tonight We won’t ever be completely out of it, at least by the scoreboard, but we won’t ever seriously threaten to impose our will in winning the second half, either. If TN hits a few big plays early and can handle IU’s offense for the first quarter - both unlikely - their chances significantly improve. But if they allow IU’s offense to get going and start to pick them apart with the pass, JG starts cold and we have a slew of 3 and outs, or worse, catastrophic turnovers....we’re going to get shit-housed. It is what it is.
Trey Smith and Jauan Jennings are about to wreck some mother[uck fay]ers. The score will work itself out.
Tennessee will end up with more points than the other team. Tennessee will wear them out in the 2nd half.
#2 has zero anticipation. But that first red zone failure is in Chaney. Should have just pounded it in. Bring in the heavies and go. He should know #2's limitations by now
Boy, this sure does look... uh, silly... We lightly tapped their shoulders and asked if we could squeeze by. So... jokes on you. I think.
