This could be fixed immediately if the corrupt and incompetent NCAA and member institutions would grant every kid one move after a year where committed with no restrictions. They're lied to, there coaches change, they get into a situation that's not good for them, they have home/personal issues, they're young and this is their first major life decision. Give them a [uck fay]ing mulligan. College football won't collapse. The duche bags will just get exposed for what they are.
Totally agree - in fact, a kid should have a single transfer, where they don’t have to give any reason for it at all, and there shouldn’t be any way for colleges to stop or hinder them. But this is not the world in which we live.
Amateur athletics ought to have some advantage over professional athletics. if it doesn't, all the more reason to just pay these guys.
I agree with this, accept they should be able to transfer wherever they want, whenever they want, however many times they want, as long as they remain in good academic standing.
My belief is that a properly lawyered up kid is going to make the NCAA back down, no matter what. And I would LOVE for a school to say "[uck fay] you, NCAA, we are playing this kid. What are you going to do about it?"
right. and with credit transfer rules, this would take care of the issue itself. fairly and impartial to the athletic element. it would give you at least 2 transfers, but you'd need to finish a degree before your final year of eligibility to transfer for that last year. that'd be a max of 3 transfers If you finished your undergrad early at some point. but probably no more than 2.
I wonder if Tee is leaving, Moose is going to be bumped up to his old spot + recruiting coordinator (with sizable bump in pay) and Pruitt puts Osovet as an on-field coach in Moose’s old spot (TE’s). Then bring in Graham to replace Johnson.
Picard would be a massive improvement in Iranian leadership. But isn't that the turban of the ayatollah, not the shah?
