Pons waiting for the Vandy player to roll around and snatching it from him was savvy as hell. Expected him to jump on the guy and draw a foul.

 

Fulkerson and Vescovi should take every shot.

 

5 games, 5 Quad 1 opportunities left.

Certainly feels like we have to win 3 to have a CHANCE.

 

Losing to A&M and then blowing the USCe game has put us in a position where we probably have to get to 19 to get in, IMO. Only way 18 works is if one of those is a win at Rupp and I still would think wed need a game in the tourney to feel better about it.

 

We'd get the same kinda team chemistry if you chose up from who is on the court at recess.

 

Vescovi started balling late

 

There ain't going to be any dancing this year. This team just isn't that good.

 

Had we had a healthy Turner all year, we'd been a tourney team. Vescovi may have never played had Turner stayed healthy, but wed been a little more stable through the middle of the season up to this point.

 

I agree, but out tournament hopes went down the drain when he went on IR.

 

It definitely took a hit. But as I've said, the A&M and USCe games are killing us right now. Be in a lot better spot had we won those 2.

I think the team is talented enough to be a tourney team, but certainly not consistent enough.

 

Memphis State too.

Add those 3 and we've have some breathing room.

 

This one still pisses me off. Worst performance in probably 7 or 8 years is the only way that was an L

 

I'm not one to make excuses, but I forget sometimes we are playing 3 and 4 freshman on the floor on a regular basis. Being inconsistent is simply going to happen with a collection of new players. It's still on Barnes for those two weak recruiting seasons.

 

Time for Bruce to prove he is VFL and get us back into bubble talk.
