You can't tout viewership and then pretend the Nowheresville Worker's Weekly counts the same as the Drudge Report. How many endless conservative local radio shows are there? That's not media?

Look now, if you guys want to call the Rush Limbaughs, Glenn Becks, and Sean Hannitys of the world authoritative news outlets on par with CNN, MSNBC, the NYT, WaPo, etc., I am going to have to demand that George Noory is included as well as Alex Jones.

Isn't that the point, though? What is broadly considered authoritative anymore? The idea of "mainstream news" itself is pretty abstract at this point. There is no mainstream media, everyone gets their own world view fed back to them in a loop.

I agree. I don't know what is authoritative. So many people try to discredit any news source they don't agree with, there are none left.

Rogan is probably the best out there right now but that’s not live news.

Just huge issues facing our country

NPR is the best for straight news and it's not really close, imo.

I bunch them all together, insofar as I believe each are overrun with bias and don’t singularly trust any of them.

Some I prefer and some I do not - but they are all FAKE NEWS.

NPR, Reuters and the AP at least try to get it right, and that puts them light years above the rest.

Right. I don't think we're going to find any outlet without some level of bias, but a few do care/attempt to do it the right way.

They’re all out to get you. Best not to listen to any of them. Probably want your guns too.

i have no problem with reuters and the ap, but NPR is wildly biased and has admitted as much.

look at the hosts and frequent guests on CNN and MSNBC. How are they different than Limbaugh etc?

They spew as much bullshit rhetoric as Alex Jones, difference is, they're Democrats.

It is the difference between a mainstream platform and being practically deleted from the social square.

I'd rather not look at them to be honest.
