    I don’t want it to be true that tear gas could have been used on peaceful protestors, and perhaps some on the ground are in error as to what they saw / experienced....but you’d immediately and unmistakably know the difference between smoke and tear gas, barring you somehow managed to almost instantly escape it / the wind changed direction, etc.

    There’s no mistaking the two.

    If an unknowing person saw it from afar, they could mistake tear gas for smoke / flash bangs, but if they experienced it, there’d be no mistaking it.

    It could have been tear gas and you and GCB would still be full of shit for the convenient hysterics saying Trump ordered it and equating tear gas (if that’s what it was) to “chemical weapons”.
