You really think Saban or Coach O wouldn't do this?

I am mostly talking from a liability stand point, never mind the ethical and moral ramifications. Lung damage, weight loss, etc, much less death, from a symptomatic case would be disastrous

I'm feeling way less confident that we have a fall season than I did 3 weeks ago.

I think it will be in front of empty stadiums if they play.

My speculation is that the Covid panic is going to fade rapidly in spite of main stream media's efforts to keep it alive. If deaths keep dropping and new cases are not flooding hospitals, then the conclusion will be we're dealing with a bad flu season and people will say [uck fay] it let's get on with life. I could be wrong, but that's my prediction.

This is most likely but liability will be more of a concern. I don't think any major sports will have a Championship.

Cash income is the most powerful ally to the fan. It’s the leverage that will get the games played. On the other hand no one wants to be that guy who gives the green light, things go bad and your career is over. I don’t think the season will be postponed, I think it will be shut down. Not because of COVID-19 but because of the politics it creates.

so do you think the games get played due to the leverage of fan cash or do you think they're shutdown? I think you said both but is it not one or the other?

I think the SEC will cancel the entire season. They’re concerned about players of course but they’re more concerned how they’ll be evaluated handling the question. Money is powerful and may win out, but I don’t think so. We live in a time where folks have never been more concerned how their seen and evaluated by others.

I'm afraid you're right. The fear of what Covid might be but likely isn't and the desire to avoid risk at all costs may doom this season. [uck fay]ing silliest season ever. The disease was real but the over reaction to it will be seen by history as a mass hysteria event fueled by a corrupt media and politics.

Just my humble prediction. I could be wrong and we all die a horrific Covid death. Personally I'd rather go down living my life than cowering in front of the tee vee waiting on introductions from my masters.

    Come on SEC, be different.

Some people have died a horrific COVID death, but I am glad you and yours have so far been unaffected.

There will be a football season, whether in the spring or fall. Of that I am certain because too many athletic departments will close otherwise.

Couldn’t you say the same thing with the flu every year with basketball

the flu kills less than half that number in its worst years and usually is like 1/5th of that. So not really comparable at all
