Only way they don’t play is if the deaths spike to 2,000+ a day again. If cases stay high but deaths low, they’re playing.
I really want to belive this. I mean I'm totally with you. I just see too many governors stepping in and pulling the plug to the point where it affects too many teams/conferences for there to be any kind of season worth anything. I hope I'm wrong. People like the governor of South Carolina who have already said unless case numbers start coming down there will be no sports will have to walk those stances back, because I dont see the case counts per day getting any better for a while.
Well I think "there will be no sports" was a pretty broad and opaque statement that should be walked back. There are individual sports, after all.
If they won't play football before flu season, hard to see them playing it once flu season actually starts.
I had heard a few weeks ago the 9+1 model was most popular adjusted model. Personally, I want to play 10 conference games. Give me Ole Miss and Auburn!!!!!!!!
With little to no international travel, and all the distancing, masks, extra measures, is there even going to BE a flu season? If there is, no wonder we can't shake COVID-19.
