He actually committed to us and then after Botch was fired he opened it back up and we did not try to re recruit him.

 

Meh. He doesn't have the concentration we look for in a QB. He would get distracted by all of the receivers running around and not focus on the guy he is throwing to.

 

Havent seen him much, but saw him use his feet to will his team to a win. I miss that tremendously

 

Story I heard was that he and his family really wanted to be here but Pruitt let Helton rescind the offer to bring in Shrout instead.

Just watching those PSU IU highlights and James Franklin is the dumbest mother[uck fay]er for not going for two after that last touchdown. Literally nothing to lose and the chance to completely eliminate the shot for a comeback.

 

How do you not have a grad assistant or something who you have these kind of situational talks with regularly, have a sheet, etc, whose job is to make sure you are aware of these kind of situations and pre-considered courses of action? If for some reason it isn't something automatic for you in the middle of the game due to all the distraction, give someone that role-- if it is their only major role, they are sure to execute it because it is "their thing." Hey coach, we go for two in this situation. Here's the sheet. Nothing to lose.
