Hurricane Eta is going to hit Nicaragua tonight as a Cat 4 (currently) or Cat 5.

It was a TS in the early morning hours. Now an intensifying Cat 4 as it nears landfall this evening.

    In November.

    Just incredible.

    Any chance she heads north?

After getting torn apart over land (slow moving) they think she’ll come back out and head north. But would need to re-develop.

I think Eta is drunk. Mercy.

This just might be standard MO for November hurricanes.

I spent over 8 hours soaked to the bone from rain, then the 3 last hours of the day drenched in sweat. It was a joyous day.

I took a lot of classes about weather, climate, and natural hazards, but didn't take any kind of Greek or Classics beyond the required so this has become very educational for me.

The rapid intensification we’ve seen on these storms as they approach Central America the last few weeks has been incredible.

Ive been to Roatan a few times. They have seldom been at risk of hurricanes for years it seems for whatever reason, yet now are in the path again. Mainland in trouble

One of those times Greek life is paying dividends 20 years down the road.

Could be an interesting week here in the Volunteer State, weather wise.

Going to be interesting from west Texas to the east coast I think. I’ve never seen temperatures like this in Houston. Going to lose a lot of plants but hopefully we won’t lose any pipes.
