I would rather take a DC that has been killing it in the group of five than a position coach at a power team, but I can see the argument for the other way around (particularly once you factor in recruiting).
For a program with a loud former player trying to get people to boycott while claiming racism, let's just say I prefer a diverse coaching staff for multiple reasons, image and recruiting being 2 of them. Just my opinion.
