Tennessee having a football player called Squirrel White is so damn perfect. That name alone is too iconic for him not to be destined to become a Tennessee football legend. It’s like the football gods put him on this Earth specifically to play for the University of Tennessee.

How long does a squirrel live?

 

I know that guy has had it for two or three seasons. I imagine a tame one lives a hell of a lot longer than a wild one

 

A quick google search says 2 to 6 years

 

Ya, I just saw even up to 10. I am surprised. I thought they would be like rodents and have like a 2 year run.

 

"This small prey animal has a lifespan of around 20 years in captivity but will vary on an average to about 13 years in the wild."

The "in the wild" seems to vary widely and is based on many predatory and weather condition variable.

 

An albino squirrel has been living in the backyard of my parents house for at least 5 years now. How a hawk or owl hasn’t eaten him yet is a wonder. Thing is a trooper

 

We've got several that live around our house that love to taunt our Doberman. There are times I just stand at the kitchen window and laugh.
