I don’t watch TV or pay attention to poll discussion crap. How is Alabama being ranked ahead of Tennessee not causing a bigger uproar? It’s preposterous.
The only way to justify it is to say it is who would win with current rosters (no Hooker) rather than season accomplishments.
If I was Danny White or someone that mattered at Tennessee I’d be launching an astroturfing campaign to make sure it’s obvious to the world the hell we will raise if Alabama gets in ahead of Tennessee.
In the past, we'd know that while that should be done if wasn't going to be even considered. Nowadays we don't have to worry about that.
I think we should be ahead of Bama, but after the skull[uck fay]ing that we took in Columbia I have a hard time getting worked up about Bama being above us. If the roles were reversed, we'd be using Bama getting beat down in Columbia as the reason they should be behind us. That said, as long as we get a NY6 bowl, I prefer a good matchup over a certain bowl. As it stands, the Orange vs. Clemson is by far the best option.
Bama being above UT is dumb because we have the same record and literally won the head to head against them. I get we were blown out in Columbia, but at some point the games have to count for something. There is no reason at all for Tennessee to be below them.
These things always suffer from recency bias, and games in September and October count less than games in November. Just the way the human brain is wired. I would love to make the playoff, but an Orange Bowl against Clemson would be awesome
The games do count for something, that’s why getting 63 put on us by Butch Lite is hurting us in the polls.
Yes 100% agree. No team that loses to that idiot can make a claim to anything. Don't like it? Then don't put yourself in a position where you could [uck fay] around and lose to them i.e. allow liabilities to hold any place of influence on your staff.
