i'd probably say brohm since he has at least proven himself somewhat as a head coach. also it's somewhat of a red flag venables hasn't taken a head coaching job. does he interview poorly or not want to be a head coach?
"B" stands for: Broncos, Benz, BMW, bass, bangles and a pair of bars When you see us pulling up down the Ave You'll act like we are stars We're not tryin' to make a joke We're just tryin' to make it known That people of the world that we call "B" girls Like bars on a Cadillac Brohm.
The Tennessee standard. "Maybe there's a chance he won't be terrible. Woohoo, Go Vols, VFL for life 4 lyfe!"
Some reports on TonyB show that he has said "Thanks, but no thanks." That would be the peanut on the top of this shit pile of a search.
This is where we are and exactly why we should have halted the search and cleaned [uck fay]ing house. But, no, we're as dumb and dysfunctional as it gets. No strategic thinking to be found. Hell, no common sense thinking anywhere.
Given our situation and the fact Currie was getting desperate, this is a situational win but strategic loss. However, we are lost the long game. I like that he is known as an offensive mind and actually has a lot of exposure to various staffs. He’s moved around and been in the business for a while. He saw a lot of NFL coaches as a backup and he’s been on multiple staffs. I think that helps build a strong leader. He needs a stellar DC and we’ll see what he can do.
In a normal course, a good hire. As is, a great scramble to save par. Get people in place that can recruit south and this will work.
I’m curious to see what he does with our roster. We are loaded with talent based on recruiting rankings, but we just didn’t look good this year. It will be interesting to see if certain guys suddenly look as good as we expected them to be.
I do not want to have a coach tonight. Want a chance for the fans to chant at Currie during the basketball game.
[uck fay] Currie, [uck fay] Davenport, and [uck fay] Haslam. This is exactly the type of hire we should have been avoiding this year, and they put knocked us back down to where it's what we're getting with those idiots leading the charge. No one should accept this hire. They wouldn't have before the Schiano disaster. Currie, Davenport should have been fired, and restart the search with someone a coach worth a damn will want to be under. This guy probably won't recruit worth a shit, will bring in a shit staff, and we're looking at another new coach in 5 years. I hope he turns us down, we need Currie et all to look AS BAD AS POSSIBLE. Tennessee shouldn't be hiring coaches from Louisiana Tech, Purdue, Western Kentucky, and Cincinnati. Period. Those who enable it, whether booster or administration, should GTFO.
