This is the most bizarre coaching search I've seen

This is pretty much how I've looked 24/7 since October

 

It’s insane. You’d think the boosters at this point would be willing to pay any price to just end it. Let’s offer Petersen $20 million.

 

Dan Patrick today - “If I’m Tennessee and I want Gruden, I ask him his price and I pay it. But I say now Jon, when we make you this offer you have to come be our coach, and you have to stop playing games”.

 

I think this is what we did, and he came to the realization he doesn’t want to really coach anymore. Just my opinion.

 

If he says no, you move to your second choice. If he says no, move to your third choice. For the amount of money that we could offer, it's hard to see getting past your third choice in a normal search.

 

I feel like jerry clower telling the story about the guy that climbed up a tree on a wild cat.

Just shoot up amongst us. One of us has to have some relief.

kinda amazed at the transparency while the search for Waldo continues.

I really don't ever recall hearing about EVERY coach that turned down an offer WHILE the search was going on.

What's the shitshow? Tennessee had its worse season ever. And unless you are Ohio State, this is the first time its been as bad as any other school.

We're still in a shitty East. We still have the same facilities as we did last year. It's still the same job it was earlier this year when talking heads said it was a top 10 job.

What changed? Fan perception?

So basically, "shit show" means fans woke up from the dream? Oh no, that's terrible.

 

Let's just repeat the same mantra so we can Stockholm ourselves, again. This time it'll work!

 

Are you just going to completely ignore the mess of the AD? The fighting between the boosters? This place is a [uck fay]ing dumpster fire. I'm also shocked we didn't have to retain Hoke and staff to be saved further embarrassment from being turned down by some guy from Toledo.

 

No, we get to pay for the embarrassment of being told yes by some guy from Toledo. We'll get to pay him to go away too, in a few years. We'll have the same boosters, and the same AD. Nothing has changed.

Watch:

1. We've fired top people barely 8 months in.
2. We have fighting amongst our highest supporters.
3. The media is killing us, left and right.
4. People who were in support of us have decided to go a separate way.

Man, that sounds terrible. Except its the White House. Or Tennessee.
