The failure to block out Gabriel turned the game in the end.

There are a lot of things that could have been done better. It's was a good effort overall, just started too slow and too many little mistakes (missed free throws, not boxing out, not driving more to finish off fouling out the bigs, etc.)

 

We have looked lost during a number of key late game situations.

 

I think the stretch of fulkerson for Schofield is what did us in. Also, that opening ten minutes

 

clock operator just dropped an extra 1.5 seconds there.

Not too upset. Wanted to win, bad, but we're still in good shape.

 

Fulkerson had some good moments, but he just isn't aggressive or explosive. I cringe when he or Pons has the ball in their hands because you know they just aren't confident in what to do with it. No threat to score off the dribble.

 

Guarding their best player with Turner was equally deadly. Turner isn’t a defender in any way and Alexander got to the lane at will. It beat us.

 

KY can be thankful that Schofield missed real time.

 

I will watch with relish when Kentucky loses in the NCAAs and remind myself we got 2 out of 3 this year from them.
