There's nothing more disappointing than looking out in your back yard and your mango trees are laying on their side

Looks like I'll start my tornado chasing training soon.

What impact will recent weather in the Midwest have on food prices?

Soy shouldn’t be too impacted considering the China tensions. I don’t think we sold much corn to China but I might be wrong there. I heard a few days ago that half of all US corn acreage remains unplanted.

It doesn't seem like it will effect food prices too much. Yet. There is a cumulative aspect to this and it is only May. A long way until it's time to harvest.

Storm rolled in out of the east today at the house and knocked a tree down onto my poor 93 year old neighbors house.

Trees were down all over Norris.

I suspect we’ll get wet at home...we’re actually away for a bit so I guess timing works out. Hopefully the house stays dry.

Was looking a few days ago and it had a tropical system of some kind drifting over that way even then. So far has come together as forecasts.

I have 30 gallons of gas, and almost as much booze, I'm hurricane ready

Rest while you can, amigo. If it passes too close I imagine you will be busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest.

NHC forecasts have been gold last few years but the spaghetti models are going to be all over the place this far out. For now I’ll roll with the NHC which means Miami is on the clean side. But I guess you’ll be called in regardless.
