Scary at our age..

 

Oh yeah, I am currently employed with no threat to my job. It is just a dead end and I will be doing the same thing I am doing now as i was 15 years ago as I will be doing in 15 years. So I am looking for at least a sideways job, hopefully with an increase in pay, but with more upside to grow.

 

I have a friend who has been married a few times. He used to like to joke that he just loves that new wife smell. He makes fun of me because he says I like that new job smell... Have fun Norris. There are far, far worse experiences out there than job interviews, like work.

 

My uncle likes to joke he wants enough ex wife’s to carry his coffin.

His next wife will make 6.

 

it only takes 1 to put him in the coffin. a dangerous strategy.

 

No doubt and it’s not my lifestyle.

However he looks just like Clint Eastwood and doesn’t lack for options

Anyone want to tell me what I saw today? It looked like either an overgrown worm or a small snake wriggling across the footpath through the woods a mile or so from the hotel where I've been staying. It was a reddish brown color, too big to be a worm, yet too clumsy to be a snake. My research has led me to believe it was a "slow worm" which is snakelike, but not a snake.

I'm not that familiar with Bavarian wildlife as of yet. I have seen a black squirrel, a red deer, and another deer a little bit smaller than a Labrador retriever which could have been a juvenile or another species that I'm told is common here.

I have been without power for almost 24 hours now. Approaching 60 hours for the rolling 30 days.

But I turned off all the lights and electronics, and now I'm starting to wonder if maybe the power is back on and I just don't know it.

 

I can feel when the power is on or off. I can tell when we took a "hit" on our system from miles away. It's a curse. And its unacceptable that you've had no power for 24 hrs

 

I lost power two nights in a row. It is weird how quiet the house is when there is no power running into it. You don't realize all of the constant humming and whirring of different machines in the house until they are all shut off.

24 hours without power outside of a major catastrophe seems excessive to me.
