I would probably like him in person, which makes me hate myself. I bet he's a hoot when he's just a guy drinking soda at the party.
ya. I'm a human labrador retriever. I can get along. you just hear me barking through the door on here
No, it just makes Trump a hypocrite, which is how I took TennTradition's point. I'm not a fan of either using profanity in public, but Trump clutching his pearls and saying how terrible it is they used this language is awfully rich, as is about a million other hypocritical things he does/says.
I am a fan of profanity, I am not a fan of someone who uses profanity chastising someone's profanity.
Me, too. I was not in favor of Tlaib using profanity in that environment towards Trump, either, nor her "he did it, too" justification.
I appreciate your unbiased take on this. However, I disagree, and not for either side or anyone, but just in a general defense of cursing, which is my love language.
I think he’s either a shit bag human or easily manipulated by even shittier bags of humans, an even worse President, and would refuse an invite to meet him (in the incredibly unlikely event I’d even somehow get one). In fact the old saying comes to mind, the one about if he was fire.
I don't think he's being manipulated. He's playing politics, and playing it well, albeit in a manner that goes past my level of comfort.
He's one of the few people on that level whom I wouldn't have any interest in meeting and would, in fact, turn down any invitation, were I somehow to manage to be important enough to warrant a White House invite, from him. I don't think I would find anything interesting about what he said, with his vapid nature and expectations of deference to sooth his frail ego. No thanks. Now, before he died, I would have loved, loved, to meet and talk with Bush the Daddy and I was a Clinton supporter in '92 (And, to be fully transparent to the board here, I'm not a Republican). But, WW II hero, CIA Director, VP and then President, plus intelligent and personable? Yes, please. Sign me up. I'd love to hear those stories.
