Both of my boys are WWII junkies. I have to get on them about being careful where and how they draw swastikas. Scares the shit out of me that they are going to expose our Nazi cell in Norris.

 

I know i share too much but whatever. I love reading about yalls family and kids and when you are my age you dont talk to people about anything so [uck fay]it.
18 years ago my firstborn was a little slow/off. (Yes i know, got it from his dad).
As a parent sometimes you see whats up and other times you deny. Fortunately, we took him to Vandy for tests, and they put him on the autism spectrum when he was 2. When you are an A personality man (firstborn male gonna be a Vol football player right!) and they tell you that, everything changes. Like a movie in super slo mo. I felt it, but still...
Tomorrow he moves into a dorm at Lipscomb and will be interning twice a week with Nash Soccer Club thru the Ideal program there. In elementary school, they said he wouldnt get out of the house or go to school, as it would be too much. [uck fay] them.
He said today he would be back for Thanksgiving . Gawn.
This message is for multiple reasons:

1. I hit the green and in the driveway waiting on someone to leave so I can go in. May have been 1 too many.
2. Very proud of him and proud of us.
3. Dont you, or you let anyone, put limits on your kids.
4. If you or anyone has the means, look at supporting programs such as IDEAL.
5. If you young dads or soon to be ever sense something with your child, do not have pride. Use your gut. Early intervention is why we are where we are today with him.
