I'm gonna guess that Root's tweet will be on prominent framed display in the Jewish wing of the Trump Library along with the oil painting of Trump in a Moses pose.

Dude gets it. He knows what it important. The love for him by people who have suffered so much, just able to forget their miseries by being in his presence, even for just a moment.

He quickly dropped this year last time he brought it up because it wasn’t met by the disgust from democrats he had hoped. He’s going to stoke again to see if he can role them up.

I think there’s room to do something on this. But doing it by EO? That doesn’t seem right.

I think all EO's should have a time limit to them. 6 months or so and if congress doesn't vote or pass it. The EO expires.

Yeah, the change to the 14th amendment isn't happening. The important part of the video was the absurdly weird insistence on the people in El Paso and Indy loving him in sort of a new level of his desired benevolent dictator ambition. I think the question has to be asked is if he really is becoming too detached from reality.

1000% agree.

It shouldn’t be at all surprising that Congress is now a bunch of impotent, grand-standing and win-at-all-costs Party loyalists, when the most impactful actions increasingly and singular come from the Executive branch.

The result is two-fold: Congress no longer passes laws, or engages in the tempered compromise that such a process necessarily requires, and worst, it lets these elected representatives off the hook to actually getting anything done, by allowing both Parties to each blame “partisan gridlock” on everything.

It’s a good deal for them, really. They never actually have to do anything, to stand for anything, or to compromise, but instead, can selfishly continue to focus entirely on being re-elected and accumualting power for their party (and which only and also helps their re-election efforts, as luck would have it).

The media is losing its mind that apparently Trump’s team/allies are digging up old tweets of journalists to use as ammunition. Priceless.

 

Yeah, it's great to see a president dedicate his time and resources towards attacking the media. How close do we want to skirt towards the first amendment anyway?

 

Only news story I’ve seen is the one where he suggests we stop hurricanes by nuking them.

 

I don’t think Trump is personally doing it, though I’m not sure he generally does anything productive so it’s probably fine if he is.

It’s just funny watching people freak as they’re confronted with the possibility that a shitty tactic they love to use could be turned around on them.

SiL showed me a "Sharknado 45" meme making its way around the interwebz.

I am told that Sharknado 3 premise was they dropped a bomb in a hurricane. Maybe that was part of his briefing. He does like watching Shark Week with porn stars.

 

This is easily my most favorite thing in a world absolutely overflowing with my favorite things.

I love that they argue that it’s someone who is digging up the dirt on them which is the problem, and not that any dirt exists, instead. I also like how not even they can say that such doesn’t exist, or will be defensible - because it does, and won’t be. What a wonderfully predictable response.

I wonder where they think they got the idea....
