he mentioned there is no doubt who the best qb is at practice. But he also was very cautious about what he said about the qb situation, and did mention how players play "when the lights come on" and reiterated they wanted to get both qbs in the first 2 games. It's obvious he doesn't want to or cant bench JG for whatever reason and isn't going to throw him under the bus right now. Probably will be his downfall.
that said, "throw the [uck fay]ing football. He's [uck fay]ing wide open!" was what he yelled at him while grabbing his jersey early in the game. A couple more of those and he will have to stop waiting for it to fix itself with game reps. JG's last 3 games vs Vandy, ga st and byu show enough.
I will go to my grave decrying hires made on the basis of recruiting prowess alone. Coach them up and they will come.
If he trots JG out this Saturday and doesn't pull his ass when he struggles again, I'm all the way off the train.
