I asked my question poorly. Who you think should be ranked 1-5 and who you think are the 5 best teams could be different. I gave my ranking for who I feel deserves to be ranked 1-5. If I was picking the best 5 in the country, I’d go: Duke UT UVA UK Gonzaga
This may be the most likely scenario. The could flip the one and two seeds in Anaheim and KC. DC- Duke/Kentucky Louisville- UVA/Michigan Kansas City- UNC/Tennessee Anaheim- Gonzaga/Michigan State
Win tomorrow and I think we're a 1. I honestly do. We'd be the only Power 5 team with 30 wins. Win and we have to get it.
Where does Tennessee end up the first weekend? Jacksonville? Columbus? Columbia would be ideal, but Duke and UNC are probably headed that way.
Committee wants Duke and UK in the South. I’d almost guarantee they get that 1 and 2. They wanted us as the 2 in the East with UVA as the 1, but we are definitely making it hard on them. If we end up a 1, I think it’s in the Midwest with either UNC or Mich St as our two.
The south regional is in Louisville. There’s no chance in hell the committee would pair Duke and Kentucky together in the south. I think the committee definitely wants those two in the same bracket, so that’s why they’ll put them together in the east.
Zags can play with anybody but they shouldn’t be a 1 after that tourney loss. Before St. Mary’s upset them, that was a one bid league.
I’m sure the UF teams that won back to back national titles probably did. Those were Tubby’s last two seasons at Kentucky and they were pretty average.
