There were some interesting comments from Malone regarding his decision. He said that footage of Riley Ferguson from practice and HS was one of the big things that won him over down the stretch.

So apparently the coaches are using Riley Ferguson as a reruiting pitch. Interesting, IMO.

 

Was he actually quoted saying that or was that the continuation of Brent Hubbs love affair with Furgerson?

He said it, but he also mentioned Dobbs. I saw the video. He mentioned that the coaches had talked to him about the QBs on the roster who haven't played yet. Last I checked, that's just Ferguson. So yeah, sounded like there's credence to this idea that the coaches are higher on Ferguson.

 

Hubbs has been relentless in pushing him over Dobbs since he first got on campus.
