'15 CA QB Sheriron Jones

Decommitted from Florida. Looks like we lead now. Several CBs to UT in the past couple of hours.

 

Is this a signal that Jennings will not be a QB?

 

May end up being a replacement for Dormady. TCU is trying to make a push for him.

If I had to guess, they want all three. If Peterman transfers, our only returning scholarship QB is Dobbs. Would probably be a hard sell to the kids, though.

 

Hes picked up 2 CBs to us, but has also picked up 2 to Ole Miss

 

Leading means nothing. We lead for kids all the time that we never get. Also, as others have mentioned in this thread, if Peterman leaves, it means we have Dobbs as the only returning QB, and that's not acceptable. If Domandy or Jennings don't understand those numbers, then let them go somewhere else. Would be nice to get all 3 QBs, and just get Kendall in '16. That would set us up good for QB for a few years, and allow us to be really picky on QBs.

 

I may be wrong, but I just don't see us ending up with all 3 of them.

I don't know anything about this guy, but I think JJ and Dormandy are both Vols. Unless of course Sheriron signing runs off Dormandy.

 

Honestly, if we're gonna run an offense like the one we have we need a QB that can run and throw and do both well.

 

I think both QB commits are EE. If he doesn't commit till after they classes start it won't matter.

 

Most people don't understand this point. All Jones has to do is get the other two enrolled, and then see if they want to take Jones. Also, Jones could go elsewhere, since leading doesn't mean a whole lot anymore.

 

Doesn't hurt to have a stable either when they're taking hits

True. Look at Ohio State the past few seasons. They're on their 3rd qb this season.

 

In the latest article he said we still lead. Ole Miss is out, think they just got a committ from a JUCO QB

 

Looks like they picked up a dual threat jc transfer. And they have another dual threat in this class already (though both are rated lower than this kid). I wonder why any qb would come in with two others. I mean we must be selling something good. But hell I would be the backup quarterback at UT all day long. Trickle down banging.
