15' TN WR Van Jefferson

Jefferson was rumored to be deciding on July 26th but per 247 he's not ready to make a decision. Says that he still wants to make a decision before his season starts but it probably won't be this weekend.

 

Some rumblings that he will announce this weekend.

 

Got an OSU feel to it.

Hopefully its just gas.

Picking tomorrow afternoon. 247 has him about 50/50 Vols/Buckeyes.

UGA

 

Just saw where Barton Simmons from 247 just now flipped his pick from tOSU to UGA.

 

This kid has been hard to read. I think he likes OSU but dad does not and Georgia may be the compromise.

 

He may very well pick UGA but if he does it's going to surprise a lot of Georgia folks too. Most of them think Vols.

Dad loves Butch and UT. Hates Urban.
Van loves OSU.
Mom loves UGA and Richt.
Van is compromising with UGA.

Not a huge loss but we need more than 1 WR in this class.

But not exactly a guy we should be taking.

 

This is a bigger blow than most will admit if North leaves after next year as we expect. We lose Pig, North and Pearson. You never know with a head case like Preston Williams. We will have Josh Malone, but then a bunch of unproven guys or underachievers (Croom). This kid is an elite talent.

Hopefully we stay on him till NSD.

Yeah, it is. If North were to stay 4 years then it lessens the blow, but that's not likely.

Austin Rogers, Josh Briscoe and Lucas Taylor were the starting WRs the last time Tennessee played in an SECCG. I'm not really worried about WR recruiting
