We had 22 scholarships for this class. We signed 20 and blueshirted 2. That tells me somehow from somewhere Pruitt is going to find 2 more players for this class. Otherwise, those 2 blue shirts count against next years class when they wouldn’t have to since there are 2 spots still open in the current class. Not sure what Pruitt is going to do here, but I don’t think this class is finished.
He said specifically the class is not finished. He's not going to be adding anybody of worth so it'll just be spot fillers.
It makes sense to try and see who else he can get. He can always kick these to the blue shirts before the end of spring.
If they have a clean record, he'll give them a chance. I'm not against it if they put in effort in the classroom.
That's fair. It's an athletic scholarship, and people should be evaluated as individuals. With the sort of schools and situations some come from, past performance in the classroom can be misleading (both ways)
Do the new rules make grad transfers apply to the signing numbers? What I heard on the radio yesterday seemed to imply that.
Grad transfers apply to next years class I thought. Shaq Wiggins counted against the 2018 class. I hadn’t heard the new rules changed that part.
So are we totally finished with the grad transfer QBs? That seemed like our best bet to have a decent season.
Still possible. Pruitt said they are looking at adding grad transfers. But they count against next years class as I understand it.
The man who recruited Travis Henry isn't going to let the school turn away a talented player if his ACT is a 7.
