Lane Thomas is the best high school hitter I've seen in a very, very long time. He also won't pitch at the collegiate level. Cammarata is a game changer.
In fact I've went on record more than once and said this team is one year away. That year is next year. Pending any off the wall attrition that's unexpected, next year's team cracks the top 15.
Thomas is gone. Signed with the Blue Jays after being taken in the 5th round. Steen was picked in the 9th round by the Red Sox. I don't think he's made a decision yet.
Really proud of Lane Thomas. Him and my little brother were best friends growing up, played a whole lot of baseball in my backyard with them when we were younger. The good fortune couldn't happen to a better kid.
Per a news interview I saw, he said that they are gonna watch him over the next month. Either they will give him more slot money or he will enroll at TN.
