IMO, folks should've expected Georgia to do what Georgia always does, which is look like a top five team some games and look horrendous some other games. And their QB was a serious question mark going into the season.

I actually do know why people thought Oklahoma would be good, which is because people tend to massively overreact to good bowl performances. See 2012 West Virginia as Exhibit A.

The Florida reasoning might've been a bit optimistic, but it does make sense, especially if you like Roper.
