Have we ever recruited this badly? I'm scared to see what these guys will look like on the field in a few years.

None of Dooley's classes were this bad and I feel like maybe only one of Fulmer's I can remember was close to it. Basically going to be a bunch of Coleman Thomas's, LaTroy Lewis's, Kenny Bynum's and Baylan Buchanan's running around the field.

 

Dooley's classes were this bad. They weren't much, if any, worse though.

 

Dooley's worst full class still had an average rating of like 88.2. Ours is 86 something right now per 247. That will probably come up a little bit and maybe match it I guess.

 

Dooley's "prized recruits" never panned out with Patterson being the one exception. At least Butch's 4 and 5 star guys live up to their rankings.

 

He's had his share of busts. He isn't batting below .100 like Dooley, but there are a decent number.

 

The secret to success in recruiting isn't much of a secret.

-Sell early playing time
- Prove you're a winner
or
- Pay better than Auburn or Ole Miss

This would be a good get if you're loaded and looking for a final few guys to fill a class. He's a project that could turn into a very good olineman down the road

 

Only if he had a competent staff to teach him. He'd be better off going to FIU. (don't know if that's on his offer list)

 

You forget Butch put a top OL in the draft at Central Michigan.
