So this is one of those "he'd be ranked higher but we thought he'd never make it" type kids?

 

Yes. He was getting a lot of interest then it just stopped once teams saw his grades

 

I also read that he was a 4 star till the services saw he wasn't going to get in.

He was one of those guys where a few services had him as a 4 and the rest had him as a 3

 

He was likely headed to Bama if he didn't have grade issues

 

Is he dumb, or just screw off in high school? At my high school, if you showed up every day and didn't get kicked out, you were going to graduate with a C average

 

I don't think his issue was GPA, but ACT score.

 

Some kids don't test well.
