Looks like undefeated season, next year.

 

Not joking, either. 11-1 with a one game stub somewhere. Less than 10 should be a fire-able offense.

I wonder what the excuses will be next year when he can't fall back on experience and depth?

I'm confident he will still use the offensive line recruiting rotation being off.

 

We had to fly ALL THE WAY to College Station. That is a solid 2 hour flight. TWO HOURS! Do you know how many of our players will never have been west of Texarkana at that point? Do you?

 

I'm feeling 9-3. Go .500 vs. Bristol, Florida, @A&M, @UGa, then add the annual beat-down by Bama followed by 5 straight wins. Trip to the Cotton Bowl and everybody can holler, "Improvement!"

 

I'll just go with "ish".

 

Alabama at the end of that 4 game gauntlet (without a bye week for us like this year).

It doesn't set up any better than it did this year to catch them.

 

9-3 and lose a tiebreaker in the east. And that'll be the best team and season that Butch ever produces here. A few more 7-5/8-4 type seasons will follow before he's run off in 2020.

2020? Isn't that "year 3" or something?

 

We'll most likely never field a team with as much experience as next year again.

 

I see 8-4, and if the early games break as I predict, Jones may be on suicide watch during the BYE week.
