It’s hard for me to hold an OT loss to a legit title contender against a team, especially when those undefeated teams haven’t played any team remotely close to that caliber.
Also, Wake Forest, which we beat by 20, beat number 17 NC State tonight. They play VT and UVA next, so it’ll be interesting to see how that goes.
it is college basketball rankings. Unlike football, it will get worked out eventually. They are all going to the tournament.
I love looking at the match up predictors on ESPN, not necessarily because I feel like they're accurate, but more so because I find them interesting in what causes them to fluctuate. Anyway, if you look at the match up predictors for the rest of our games this season, we are predicted to win every single one, with the only real close ones coming @Auburn and @UK. Meanwhile, Wisconsin is "predicted" to beat Michigan this weekend, and Michigan State (the only elite team Michigan plays this year) is predicted to win @Michigan and highly predicted (81%) to win at home against Michigan. Just thought it was interesting.
I like talking about it, but was more responding to your "frustration." The rankings get tested. They get exposed. Don't be frustrated, be amused.
Also, if Tennessee doesn't drop a game, they'll be #1 by early to mid February. In time to go to Lexington, if I had to put a precise deadline on it.
first time I've seen Michigan play this year. They have looked unimpressive. Not sure who on Michigan i'd take over our first 6 or 7
I hate it when teams roll the ball down the court and other team let them late in games. Go make him pick it up and get the clock going.
I've always liked a 3/4 zone press late in games with a lead. Make them milk 8-10 seconds per possession trying to get in the offense
Yup. Make them burn the clock, then fall back into defense. That Michigan 1-3-1 trap is nasty though.
