Cimiglia is the kicker, the punter is between a Farragut walk on and a freshman. The returners should be fine. Callaway, Chandler, Thompson, Jackson and Williams all have return ability
Tennessee will lose the following games (margin of loss): WVU (14+ points - they’re confident and are great where we are both thin and suck) UF (3-7 points - they’ll find a way in an ugly game. Source: the last 15 years) UGA (20+ points their 2-deep is better than our starters. Butch Jones could take the UGA squad and beat us by 20+ points). AU (20+ points...Barn gets it rolling and it gets away from us...still, [uck fay] Auburn). BAMA (20+ points...won’t even be close) USC (7-10 points...we’ll hang tough, but they’re just better than us) One of the three versus KY, Mizzou, Vandy (3-7 points...we’ll be 3-6 going into this stretch, absolutely beat to hell, both mentally and physically, and we’ll drop 1 of these three...maybe 2...but I’ll be an optimist and say it’ll only be 1). We will be greatly improved, and will show flashes of what we can be in the near future...but will go 5-7 and miss a bowl. Anyone want to make a gentlemen’s wager - if you’re right, and we finish better than this, you can pick my avatar for the month of January (multiple entries will need to collectively decide and agree). If I’m right, I get to pick each of yours for the same month. Reply “Count me in” to bet and e-shake on it. *** TO BE CLEAR: THE BET IS STRAIGHT UP WINS / LOSSES...I’m NOT giving you lemmings any points.
Is Cimiglia good / worth a shit? What year is he in? Hell, has he ever kicked in a game before? I legit have no idea. (And thanks).
Cimiglia hit a few field goals last year From UTSports: Lefty kicker finished 8 of 13 on field goals, including five 40+, and made all three of his PATs during his rookie season, hit a 51 yarder against UF
I always start feeling optimistic this time of year. It's about 3 minutes into the first quarter of the first game when my optimism starts waning.
That 8-4 case looks plausible at first, but (and I know I keep harping on this) I can't see us beating every team we're supposed to beat and winning the relative tossups (UF and USC). There's too much Butch left in this team, and things are *always* up and down with a new coach. We're not going 5-1 against the East.
I agree with this. It's why 6 or 7 wins and I will be satisfied. Over 7 and I'll be elated. I suspect they'll play out of their minds against one of the "guaranteed losses" and struggle with a "guaranteed win" this year.
This is the first time in 10 years I am excited and going full on fan nuts crazy orange guy you don't want to know. 10-2 mother [uck fay]ers.
