WVU was ranked 106th in total defense last year.


Tennessee was 81st.

 

I was referring as to what we have on defense personal wise. I don't know what the strength of the D would be. It's hard to imagine it would be the secondary but I wouldn't say it's LB or DL either.

 

Last year this was West Virginia wins...

East Carolina
Delaware State
Kansas
Texas Tech
Baylor
Iowa St
Kansas State

Not impressed.

Vols by 7 against WV IMO

 

I'm excited to see the LBs with actual coaching. There's talent there. I also think Taylor is going to be a good edge rusher

Sherrer is a great LB coach and Kirkland, Bituli and Sapp were all highly rated recruits coming out of high school.... Kirkland and Bituli have both performed at extremely high levels when healthy

 

They're all around 300+ lbs

 

Okay, was hoping they might be undersized

 

There was drastic weight gain when Grier enrolled there, though

Defensive front seven is Lilliputian.
