I think the dems have hurt themselves.

I feel like their base was already fired up but now they have the other side fully engaged

Yup. Agree 100%. This might have backfired on them.

What happens when you run "against" instead of run "for" something. I don't want to vote for someone that says "Hey, at least I am not as bad as THAT guy."

Although the enthusiasm gap has closed, as has the generic ballot, Democrats are still in good shape to retake control of the house. There are 47-48 tossup races in the house, and they need to win 26 of those.

Hopefully they can. I don't like it when one party controls everything, no matter who that party is.

Yeah, I don't think there is anything that could stop the Democrats from winning the House. Democrats have put up real good candidates and they are bankrolled very well.

I don't think it is nearly as forgone a conclusion as it was 6 weeks ago.

I do feel like Blackburn is gaining traction in Tennessee, even if I am at mostly skeptical of that Fox News poll that has her up by 5............

Maybe I shouldn't be. Bredesen is now saying he'd vote for Kavanaugh as of this morning.

    He must feel it too.

It will be close but he won't win.

He was never going to win. The senate isn't going to change hands.

He could win. But the Senate isn’t going to change hands.

I don't hate Bredesen, but who would he represent? His state or his party? I'm really tired of how it has been forced on us to vote for the party rather than the person. It's one of the reasons why I've voted libertarian when given the opportunity for a long while now.

Senate is most definitely not changing hands. House is likely but after the shit Dems just pulled all bets are off. Republicans will be out in huge numbers to vote.

Given the shift in the court and the Senate holding, the country likely needs a Dem House.

It wouldn't be the worst thing. Balance the power some.

Im ok with losing the house. I want judges confirmed now so just focus on the Senate.

He would represent Schumer most of the time.
