They did what people wanted them to do. They threw everything at him. I can definitely respect that.

And of course he announces it before the season starts. Can’t pass up an entire year of adulation.

 

Saw it's because of NLI. Makes sense. Paying players under the table suddenly doesn't have the power it did, and thus his most effective recruiting weapon is weakened.

Now, it'll never happen, but I'd love for it to leak the NCAA was about to hammer him.

 

You know, the student athletes who made you wealthy and famous actually getting compensation and not being as susceptible to bribes is just too much for any legend to take. Just ain't like it used to be. Used to be about the exploitation.

I’m sorry, but why is ESPN trying to push women’s college basketball on me? The #1 team in the country is up 25-19 over the #5 team in the country. Do I really even need to say that I’m not interested?

Feels like it should be understood.

 

The Coach K adulation this season is going to be vomit inducing.

 

They have been pushing it since the mid-90s. The disparity between teams in women's athletics, even between #1 and #5 is horrendous.

 

I think it is reasonable for ESPN to be giving attention to a top 5 women's basketball game. They aren't forcing anyone to watch

 

K gets all the attention and has for a long time.

 

It's not even the disparity here. It's 25-19. That's like, 8th grade boys level of scoring.

 

Look, I hate women’s basketball too, but not enough to pretend like Bo Ryan never existed
