I laughed when they commented that Bowden is one of the most athletic players in the country. Bowden is great, and maybe that statement is true, but it’s hard to believe when he’s not even the most athletic player on his own team.
He looks like a potential second round pick, but it’s kinda the opposite of the Bone situation—Bone left knowing he would’ve been the go-to guy on a team that lost its best players, and defenses would be focusing on him. If Pons stays another year, he could be a key piece on a team that makes a deep run, and he most likely will not be the focus of opposing teams. Not sure if his finances dictate that he needs to go, but I feel like another year of development and a year with more talent around him could serve well
looking at stat lines, we outplayed ks in every aspect of the game except turnovers and fts. Ks even shot more 3s than us but still many more fts.
Barnes spoke about seeing Kobe in a HS tournament many years ago. Barnes told his asst Haith, we get this kid we win a title. Haith says, well, just fyi, his dad is probably going with him to coach and Barnes says, "sounds like you need to be looking for a new job." Thought it was funny. Team will wear purple laces tonight
This garbage ass A&M team is significantly out-hustling us. Vescovi playing well, though. Need to get on the damn defensive boards.
We are shooting 50% from the field They are shooting 31% from the field and we are losing They have taken 9 more shots than we have.
If they are crashing the boards that hard we should have some runouts. They shooting bricks coming off hard or we have a couple ball watchers?
I think they've sped up Vescovi's shot, and it's affecting his accuracy. Probably better for the long haul though.
Bowden has had at least 3 wide open, uncontested 3s and has missed every one of them. Hes had bad turnovers. He just gave up a 3 there a minute ago. Time to sit him.
