Beto is no longer not running for President —————- “I haven't made any decisions about anything,” O’Rourke told TMZ on Tuesday. In November — on the very day before the midterm election he narrowly lost to Cruz — O’Rourke said he would not be a candidate for the 2020 presidential election. ——————-
Well, he’s not a senator, so I guess he has nothing else to do. If he can swing Texas, Trump is pretty screwed. But that’s much easier said than done, and maybe not worth the risk of nominating someone so inexperienced.
Depends on how visible they keep him. He's a young, good looking center-left candidate from a state that is getting closer to swing territory. He plays very well with demos that the Dems have a hard time getting out to vote. Sound a lot like a previous candidate that was thought to be a big risk.
I think that candidate had a little more experience because of his time in the Senate but I agree there is some definite similarities.
I hear you and from the standpoint of credibility - the Senate is more important, but Beto’s time in the US House is experience at a level similar to the Senate (but just lacks the same clout).
I think Trumpers trying to take a 'he doesn't have enough experience" angle would be fun, as it would be cementing Beto as the outsider candidate. America loves the idea of an outsider.
In a related note, I have decided against pursuing an adult film career out of concerns for my family.
Dear 8th Members: After consulting with my wife, children and the rest of my family, I have decided that I will not fly to the moon in 2020. While it has been a lifelong dream of mine, I feel that this is not the time for this to happen. Please respect mine and my family's decision in this, and may God bless you, and may God bless the United States of America.
